Choosing aftercare is a very personal decision. Humane Pet Euthanasia helps families understand the available pet cremation and aftercare options so your dog or cat is handled with dignity after passing.
Options may include private cremation, communal cremation or home burial after in-home euthanasia. If your pet has already passed at home, cremation-only assistance may also be available based on timing and location.
Pricing depends on your pet’s size, your location, appointment timing, transport needs and the aftercare option you choose. Call or text to confirm current pricing, availability and the best next step for your family.
Request Cremation Pricing“I understand how difficult it is to say goodbye to our pet babies and the idea of not knowing what happens afterwards can be so unsettling. I treat each and every patient with the utmost respect and will treat them as if they are my own pet.”
- Dr. ScherrerEach family has different wishes for their pet’s aftercare. Humane Pet Euthanasia explains each option clearly so you can choose what feels right for your pet, your family and your beliefs.
Your pet is cremated separately from other animals. Your pet’s ashes are returned in an urn, and engraving is available at no additional cost.
Your pet is cremated with other pets. Ashes are not returned to the family and are spread at sea.
If you do not wish to have your pet cremated, in-home euthanasia may be provided without cremation. Your family may then choose home burial where allowed.
If you choose cremation, Humane Pet Euthanasia will transport your pet after they have passed and coordinate crematory arrangements. When private cremation is selected, your pet’s ashes are returned to your home once the cremation process is complete.
A memorable paw print is provided regardless of the cremation option chosen when available at the appointment.
If your pet passed naturally and you need help with removal and aftercare, Humane Pet Euthanasia may be able to assist with private or communal cremation. Call or text with your pet’s species, approximate weight, city and preferred aftercare option so availability can be confirmed.
